Adelaide ewaste & computer recycling

Adelaide ewaste (electronic waste) and computer recycling

1800ewaste Adelaide – electronic waste and computer recycling service.

1800ewaste is Adelaide’s leading ewaste collection and recycling service. We’re dedicated to diverting as much electronic waste (ewaste) from Adelaide landfill and overseas export as possible. For too long, metals such as mercury and lead found in computers and other ewaste have been buried in landfill, leaving the toxins to leach into the ground and waterways. This cannot continue.

The 1800ewaste service is professional fast and reliable. We collect your ewaste from your door and deliver it to the appropriate recycling facilities where 95-98%, by weight, will be recycled for future use.

What is ewaste (electronic waste)?

The term ‘ewaste’ encompasses all old electrical appliances either in a state of disrepair or simply obsolete. This includes everything from fridges and microwaves to mobile phones and computers. The correct disposal of ewaste is of vital importance to being able to achieve a sustainable future.

Safe, environmentally friendly & certified ewaste recycling.

1800ewaste only use accredited electronic waste recyclers, ones that are governed by ISO140001 standards – the international regulation for the safe disposal of electronic waste.

How much does it cost for this service?

Ewaste November 18, 2009 at 10:16 am

Hi Gail, our service is tailored specifically to your needs and so the cost is calculated on the amount of ewaste you have. Please give the team in the office a call on 1800 392 783 and they will give you an estimation for your recycling. Thank you.

I have two fluro tubes that I do not want toput n a bin.
Where is th nearest drop off centre near Henley Beach?

Ewaste November 30, 2009 at 11:11 am

There is a City Services drop off for fluorescent lighting at 935 Marion Road, Mitchell Park. Thank you.

Jan Stokes December 6, 2009 at 6:30 pm

Is there a public collection point near Gawler or Munno Para, please? I only have a couple of tubes to dispose of, at this time. Shouldn’t ALL shops specialising in selling light fittings offer this service (without having to buy an eco light bulb first)?

Ben H. December 6, 2009 at 10:44 pm

I would like to dispose of an old TV. I noticed you don’t service the Littlehampton / Mount Barker area. Is there some location nearby where I can get it collected?

Ewaste December 9, 2009 at 10:08 am

Hi Ben, The closest suburb to to you that we service would be Stirling and of course we’ll pick up from anywhere in the Adelaide metropolitan region. If that doesn’t suit perhaps you could try your local council for advise on how to dispose of your old TV. Thank you for your inquiry.

Ewaste December 9, 2009 at 10:13 am

Hi Jan, We agree, there should be a national recycling scheme in place for fluorescent lights, particularly seeing as though they’re now standard for all households. However unfortunately that is not the case and as yet we don’t have any public collection points. The nearest suburb to you that we service is Elizabeth West, if that doesn’t suit perhaps you could try your local council for advice on how to dispose of hazardous waste such as mercury containing lights. Thank you.

Can you please tell me where I can drop off 2 obsolete and nonfunctioning computers withtransformer and electrical cords,
I reside in Brighton. Is there a cost involved?
Thank you.

Paul January 2, 2010 at 11:49 am

Hi Ewaste, do you have any intentions on setting up a drop point in the country?

Port Pirie would be a good start :)

Good stuff people ! thanks for providing a great service !

Nathan. S January 3, 2010 at 10:02 pm

Hi, Is there a computer recycling bin near the Vale Park 5081 area, if so what is the location, thanks!

Ewaste January 6, 2010 at 1:46 pm

Hi Andrew, Thanks for your inquiry, currently we are purely an electronic waste collection service. Please give us a call (free) on 1800 392 783 and we can discuss a suitable collection time. Thank you.

Ewaste January 6, 2010 at 1:47 pm

Hi Paul, Thanks for your feedback, we’re looking into ways that we can set up drop off points (both city and country) that we collect regularly, hopefully it won’t be too far in the future.

Ewaste January 6, 2010 at 2:14 pm

Hi Nathan, Thanks for your enquiry. Our electronic waste collection service operates in the Vale Park area so please give us a call on 1800 392 783 (free) to arrange a suitable collection time. Thank You.

Bronwyn January 28, 2010 at 2:47 pm

Hi EWaste. Is there a flat rate charge for pick-ups or does it depend on how many items are collected? Thanks

Ewaste February 5, 2010 at 9:46 am

Hi Bronwyn, Thanks for your enquiry – we charge by the item – please give us a call in the office 1800 392 783 and we’ll give you a price. Thank you
